Microsoft office starter 2010 cannot be opened check your internet connection free
Program won’t open. Following instructions to click ‘change’ in Control Panel failed to make a repair “because an internet connection is required” although my usual connection was in operation. I uninstalled the program, downloaded and ran the install file setupconsumercZrelw. I tried all the suggestions in a previous post on the same subject; none worked. I am stumped.
Attempting to open Tools runs into the same no connection problem. The Control Panel programs list now shows Microsoft Office and Microsoft Office Click-to-Run with slightly different dates but apparently duplicate files with the same version number. The upshot was that since the Office Starter was pre-installed by computer manufacturer Acer and I do not have the key, once corrupted, it cannot be repaired or replaced, in spite of all the instructions I found on other ‘answers’ posts. Her only solution was for me to purchase and install the full Microsoft Office program. I believe my Office Starter was corrupted and rendered inoperable when unthinkingly I clicked OK on a small notice box appearing one day with an update for the Starter program.
Thereafter it ceased to work. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Search the community and support articles Install, redeem, activate Microsoft and Office Search Community member.

Kindly answer the following questions: When did this concern started happening? Were there changes with the computer used before this concern started? If Office starter repair fails, you may have to contact the computer manufacturer for further help on the issue as Officer Starter is preinstalled by the computer manufacturer.
