I saw your message about disable internet connection and program works again. I now just click turn on flight mode when I want to use quickbooks. Once program started you can turn flight mode off again.

Yes, I also have found by disabling my internet, the Quickbooks 11 Pro now works Looking forward to the fix that will hopefully be coming soon. I hope that the Windows team realizes whatever they did to mess it up, but you saved my day, and I appreciate your sharing with us.

I found a message on the Microsoft forums that suggested it was somehow related to Quickbooks “phoning home” to Intuit and then for some reason causing it to crash. Intuit says they do not recommend or support any version older than on Windows Obviously they make money if people upgrade which made me wonder if this is their way of forcing users to buy the upgrade?
It sounded crazy but I thought, ok So I unplugged the ethernet cable and opened Quickbooks and like magic it worked perfectly! No errors at all! To further test it, I closed Quickbooks, plugged the ethernet cable back into the computer, opened Quickbooks again and the error message popped right back up and crashed the program again. So to recap, if the computer has internet access, Quickbooks crashes. No internet access and Quickbooks works fine.
